That Splendid Little War: Research in the Spanish-American War

The end of the 19th century witnessed the transformation of the United States from a developing nation into a global power. This lecture focuses on the war against Spain and includes the Boxer Rebellion (1900) and the Philippine Insurrection (1899-1902) in which U.S. soldiers participated. We'll discuss the records of the National Archives and other research facilities that cover all 3 conflicts.
