Ellis Island History and Experiences

This presentation describes the history of Ellis Island, the immigration center in the US where over 12 million immigrants entered this country. This presentation also delves into what experiences an immigrant faced once entering this country through Ellis Island. In addition, we will look at locating records that can be accessed online at Ellis Island websites.

Level:
Beginner. Just starting to do family history., Intermediate. Online database savvy and can locate/read deeds, vital records, wills, and church records., Advanced. Very experienced, including early US and foreign records.
