Genealogical research into Trujillo ancestors, led to the discovery of fourth great-grandparents of mixed heritage that included Spanish, indigenous, and even native slaves. Their descendants are traced from New Mexico to California culminating in a memorial artwork that graces the Agua Mansa Cemetery in Colton, California.
