Catholic Records Then and Now: Non-Catholics Need Them, Too

Back in the early church, only Catholics could marry in the Church. That is no longer a requirement and many interfaith marriages occur in Catholic churches. Vital genealogical facts are found in baptism, marriage, and burial registers. These are important records where civil records may not be available.
